Let me respond to a comment that the Rev. Dr. Nicholas A. Marziani s makes at that post.

It has been commented on and I am becoming more into agreement with this that in a sense since Vatican II the Mass has become much more "Father Mass". That is now the Liturgy is very tied to the particular Priest's personality.

I think the point the good Father was making in this post was that active participation means something on a deeper level.
