I have got the genealogy bug for some time. I meant to post this some time ago because it it is such a interesting part of Louisiana and Louisiana Catholic history. Also it can coonect long lost families again

St Landry has Orphan Train Museum opens . The links are good and interesting. As to the Advocate article that is linked notice this little tidbit at the end

"the museum will also contain a cross-reference system containing the original and adopt...ed names of the riders to make it easier to obtain genealogical information."
