Jena 6 Kid Has Whole New Life in Connecticut !!!

CNN has an interesting and good article on one of the Jena 6. See Attorney gives Jena 6 teen counsel, chance at new life

Thought this part took me aback:
"I didn't change the way I act. I didn't do nothing different. It was just that I was at Canterbury instead of Jena," he said. "It was like Jena was out to get me -- and not just me, but other people, too."

Has he beaten a random white student unconscious with a gang yet? That's different.

Still it appears he knows what he did was wrong later in the article. There is a lesson here. Have no doubt if this 6 white students that beaten a random black kid unconscious there would be no internships and private Catholic Prep school education for them. They would be labeled for life.

Everyone deserves second chances especially kids regardless of color.

Hopefully it appears this kid will turn out alright.
