Governor Bobby Jindal Needs To Play Up His Indian Heritage For the Sake of the Nation

There is a good article here at Why the U.S. should listen to India’s voters by Barone.

Let me give this a further Louisiana and indeed national twist. Governor Bobby Jindal seems to go out of his not to play up his Indian heritage. I don't think he is ashamed of it at all. I just think he has a distaste for ethnic politics.

As noble as that is people should be questioning if this is a good thing. Bobby Jindal is a popular figure in India from what I can tell. At least there is great interest in him. That interest should increase.

I have been sort of dismayed that Bobby has not taken advantage of this more. How about Jindal going over to India on a trade/job finding mission. How about Bobby going and using his status to perhaps forge links between the the growing technology sector and Louisiana Universities. It is hard to see why this would not be a good thing. Lord knows we need the jobs.

On a National Level this gets more intriguing. As the power of India grows it might indeed be very beneficial to have a Indian President perhaps. There are opportunities. Opportunities that it appears Our President to the World" is not taking.
