Excellence? I hope the UN and Nancy Pelosi are on top of this. As we can see this torture and enhanced punishment techniques no doubt has had an effect as these former victims are now in the highest level of Govt. No telling how they are acting these nightmares out and becoming the new offenders
Let me be clear I am not making light of torture but it strikes me that after we get past the hot topic of water boarding there is a lot being put under this torture label. Such as throwing someone against a wall, head slaps, intense sleep deprivation, head holds, and putting a terrorist in a box with a caterpillar. In fact that dictionary thing that is mentioned above bears a similarity to a practice that appears to be banned.

The Attention Grab: The interrogator forcefully grabs the shirt front of the prisoner and shakes them
Attention Slap: An open-handed slap to the face aimed at causing pain and triggering fear
The Belly Slap: A hard open-handed slap to the abdomen. The aim is to cause pain, but not internal injury. Doctors consulted advised against using a punch, which could cause lasting internal damage

The Cold Cell: The prisoner is left to stand naked in a cell kept near 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius)
Waterboarding: The prisoner is bound to an inclined board, feet raised and head slightly below the feet. Material is wrapped over the prisoner's face and water is poured over them. Unavoidably, the gag reflex kicks in and a terrifying fear of drowning leads to almost instant pleas to bring the treatment to a halt

Now no doubt if one was arrested fpr lets say for murder most the above techniques could be used to find the bodies. But is the above all torture?
