LSU’s Nicholas Pontiff (18), the brother of the late Wally Pontiff, gets a pat on the helmet from Micah Gibbs, right, at home after Gibbs’ two-run home run which also scored Mikie Mahtook in the bottom of the fourth inning during the Wally Pontiff Classic at Zephyr Field. 
It seems like yesterday when the State woke up with shock that Wally Pontiff had died in bed at an age way too young. But times passes by and last night the Wally Pontiff Classic was played in New Orleans where Nicholas Pontiff , Wally's brother, played his Pontiff Classic game in a LSU TIGER Uniform.
