Time to Look at a Louisiana Catholic Paper again

The edition of the Baton Rouge Catholic Newspaper the THE CATHOLIC COMMENTATOR , is online. The July 16 edition is available in PDF format here. It also has a special Back to School Insert here.

As usual the paper has several good stories in it. If one is living in Louisiana but not in the Dicoese of Baton Rouge it is often helpful to read it to see what events are coming up that it might be worth traveling too.

Summer is of course slow as usual for activities in Louisiana Catholic land but here are a few articles that caught my eye.

First starting on page one there is a very good article here. Legislature passes bill, sees viability of Catholic education. Touches article in facts touches on what Bills of particular concerns to Catholics were in the Call at the recent Louisiana State Legisature Session and the outcome.

Page 7 has a good story of a Catholic Pro-life kind at St. Patrick members support life by spiritual adoption

Page 12 has Diocesan young adults to evangelize youth through NET Ministries

Sadly there are no HIgh School football sports previews of the lcoal teams but hopefully that wil be in the next edition
